OREANDA-NEWS. August 6, 2010.  The State Statistics Committee has reported of weakened deflation processes in Azerbaijani economy this July.

The Committee informs in July consumer price index (CPI) fell by 0.2% against June, when deflation was 0.6%. At that, this July’s CPI for goods decreased by 0.7% and for services rose by 0.9%.

With taking into account the indicators of July, this year accumulated inflation reached only 1.9%. Official forecast says of inflation of no more than 3%, but some "apocryphal" predictions suppose inflationary surge of up to 5-7%. As of 1st July year-on-year inflation was 4.9%.
