OREANDA-NEWS. September 9, 2010. JSC FGC UES, JSC RusHydro and Government of Amur region signed Cooperation Agreement. The Agreement defines interaction of the parties under realization of investment projects on Nizhne-Bureyskaya HPP and Nizhne-Zeyskaya HPP construction. The Agreement was signed by Governor of Amur region Oleg Kozhemyako, Chairman of JSC RusHydro Management Board Eugeniy Dod and Chairman of JSC FGC UES Management Board Oleg Budargin.

In accordance with the signed Agreement JSC RusHydro is to construct Nzhne-Bureyskaya HPP and Nizhne-Zeyskaya HPP and also develop schemes of power output of the power plants within the terms established by the Board of Directors of the Company and agreed with the Government of Amur region. JSC FGC UES is to put into operation electric grid facilities for power output of the plants and also provide for technological connection of the region customers to the Unified national electric grid. The Government of Amur region will provide assistance in realization of the power companies’ investment projects on the territory of the region.

In accordance with previously signed Agreement between JSC FGC UES and the Government of Amur region, by 2014 there will be 358 MVA of transformer capacity put into operation and 892 km of power transmission lines commissioned.

Construction of interstate power transmission line 500 kV Zeyskaya HPP – Amurskaya – State border will become the key electric grid project that will participate in export of electric power from Russia to China. To enhance power output of Zeyskaya HPP, JSC FGC UES will build the second link of power transmission line 220 kV Kluchevaya – Magdagachi and power transmission line 220 kV Zeyskaya HPP – Magdagachi. Reliability of power supply for customers in the town of Blagveschensk will be enhanced in the result of commissioning of power transmission line 220 kV Blagoveschenskaya – Tambovka (Zhuravli) – Varvarovka with the length of 107 km with substation 220 kV Tambovka (Zhuravli). In addition, five substations 220 kV will be upgraded.

JSC FGC UES plans to carry out all work on construction and renovation of electric power facilities within the region applying advanced power transmission technologies. In particular, electric power facilities will be equipped with state-of-the-art channel equipment and telecontrol, active and reactive power meters, automatic control systems for technologic processes, relay protection devices and emergency control schemes. Automated information and metering system for commercial accounting for electric power will be installed at electric power facilities to organize accounting for electric power transmitted and settlement with customers.
