OREANDA-NEWS. September 23, 2010. Moscow Domodedovo Airport recorded growth of physical indicators in July 2010. The month saw 20 696 movements served in Domodedovo and demonstrated an increase by 14.4% in comparison with the same period of the previous year.

Passenger traffic volumes totaled 2 470 603 based on results of July 2010 which is 18.4% more compared to the same month previous year.

Passenger load factor reached 83.9% which is an increase by 4.4% compared to the same period in 2009.

Cargo traffic in Domodedovo demonstrated growth by 20.3% compared to the same month of the last year rates and reached 12 674 tons.

Domestic passenger traffic growth was recorded and totaled 968 036 which is an increase by 20.7% compared to the same period in 2009.

International passenger traffic in July 2010 increased by 16.9% compared to the same month last year and totaled 1 502 567 passengers.

Following the results of seven months 2010 total passenger traffic reached 12 235 087 which is 24.8% more compared to January-July period of the last year.

Domestic passenger traffic in January-July 2010 saw 4 787 226 travelers (an increase of 26.8% compared the same period last year).

Based on January-July results the highest growth rates of passenger traffic volumes were recorded on the following destinations: Saint Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Orenburg, Tyumen, Ufa. Passenger traffic volumes operated along these routes totaled 1 053 000 travelers - an increase by 57% versus the same period in 2009.

International passenger traffic in January-July 2010 totaled 7 447 861 demonstrating an increase by 23.5% compared to the same period last year.

The highest growth rates were recorded on the following destinations: Hurghada, Sharm el Sheikh, Dubai, Bangkok, Phuket. Passenger traffic along these routes totaled 1 601 000 which is an increase by 58 % compared to 2009.

The number of movements served for the seven months of 2010 totaled 116 557 demonstrating an increase by 17.8% compared to the same period in 2009.

Based on results of January-July 2010 the volume of cargo traffic totaled 81 559 tons which is an increase by 28.5 % compared to the same period of the previous year.
