OREANDA-NEWS. September 29, 2010. I.P. Sorochan, OMZ Group general director, and Yu.A. Nedashkovsky, president of GP NAEK Energoatom, have signed a memorandum on cooperation in Kiev, Ukraine.

The document covers facilitation of Russian-Ukrainian cooperation in manufacturing of high-tech power engineering equipment.

GP NAEK Energoatom and OMZ Group have agreed on cooperation in key areas of nuclear engineering, in particular, maintenance of existing nuclear power plants, production of certain types of equipment at GP NAEK Energoatom facilities, coordination of production plans and nuclear power plant equipment purchases via bilateral operational agreements.

National Nuclear Power Company Energoatom (GP NAEK Energoatom) is a state-owned operator of all active nuclear power plants in Ukraine. Besides, Energoatom specializes in construction and reconstruction of existing plants, procurement and removal of nuclear fuel, development of national infrastructure in spent nuclear fuel and radioactive waste handling, nuclear power facilities security services, personnel training, social welfare of its employees, etc.
