OREANDA-NEWS. October 01, 2010. Belarus raised on July 29 buckwheat procurement prices 50%.

The decision is in accordance with resolution of the Council of Ministers #1305.

First grade buckwheat procurement price has been raised to 1.353 million Belarusian rubles (Br) per tonne, second grade buckwheat price to 1.257 million rubles per tonne, and third grade buckwheat price to 1.127 million rubles per tonne.

By September 14, buckwheat had been harvested on 58.7% of the total area under that crop. Buckwheat harvest amounted to 15,800 tonnes, up 9% on the year; the yield has reached 1.09 tonnes per hectare, down 18%.
