Belarus’ consumer prices went up 1% on the month in December compared with 0.9% in November, 1.1% on the month in October, 1.6% in September, 0.6% in August 2010, 0.3% in July, 0.2% in June, 0.8% in May, 0.7% in April, 1.1% in March, 0.5% in February and 0.8% in January.

Prices rose 9.9% in January-December 2010, compared with 10.1% in January-December 2009.

Food prices rose 1.6% in December 2010 and 13.1% in January-December 2010, non-food prices went up 0.4% and 7.4%, and consumer services prices increased 0.3% and 6%.

In 2009, inflation accelerated 10.1%. The forecast for 2010 stood at 9%-10%.
