OREANDA-NEWS. January 27, 2011. First Deputy Chairman of the Board of RBD Dmitry Golovanov took part in the round table “The Role of Russian and Foreign Banks and Investors in Implementation of the Innovative Center Skolkovo Project. Legislative Issues” that was held in the State Duma of the Russian Federation. The attendees discussed the banks potential to fund projects developed in Skolkovo. The representatives of the credit institutions made a number of proposals relating to high risk but very important projects, reported the press-centre of RBD.

“The RBD’s programs aimed at financing innovative-oriented small business involved in modernization processes. To this effect RBD applies including but not limited to noncredit support to SMEs. The Bank can help to attract resources to small enterprises that use Skolkovo research finding, to provide loans to enterprises that engage energy service contracts where Skolkovo specialists act as auditors and consultants, and to support enterprises where Skolkovo R&D outcomes are intangible assets, for example, patents”, said D. Golovanov.   

In the course of the event Deputy of the State Duma Anatoly Aksakov highly appreciated the RBD’s accomplishments relating to financing innovations and modernization. Igor Agamirzyan, CEO of Russian Venture Company also accentuated the Bank’s role in support to the innovative SMEs.

The participants of the round table agreed to form a working group and worked out theses that formed a ground for the documents submitted to the commission for modernization under RF President.
