OREANDA-NEWS. January 27, 2011.  AeroSvit - Ukrainian Airlines acquired the fourth long-haul Boeing 767-300ER aircraft under operational lease. The aircraft performed its first flight on AeroSvit’s route Kiev – Delhi – Kiev on December, 21st.

Two-class cabin configuration of the aircraft provides 18 passenger seats in business class and 231 in economy class.

Extending its long-haul fleet, AeroSvit will be able to increase the intensity of flights on its transcontinental routes to New York (to 6 flights per week) and Bangkok (to 7 per week) during the winter holiday season in addition to already intensified (since November) flight frequency to Beijing (to 4 per week). Besides, during winter season 2010, the Airlines’ long-haul aircraft are operated on scheduled flights to Toronto and Delhi and on charter flights to Punta Cana (the ), ordered by MIBS TRAVEL tour operator.

AeroSvit plans to acquire two more B767-300ER aircraft in the first half of 2011. This will enable AeroSvit to intensify flight frequency on all long-haul routes during summer season 2011, to execute Kiev - Tokyo - Kiev flight program in July - September 2011 and to start operating on some new scheduled and charter transcontinental air routes.

AeroSvit Airlines also sets about renovating and extending its medium-haul fleet. In particular, in the first half of 2012 Boeing will start delivering B737-800 Next-Generation directly from the manufacturing facilities according to the contract concluded between AeroSvit and Boeing in 2007.

In December 2010, AeroSvit and Boeing have also finalized an arrangement, which provides Boeing's technical, training and marketing support to AeroSvit while setting into operation 4 Boeing Next-Generation 737-900ER aircraft, which are to be acquired under operational lease in 2013-2014. AeroSvit Airlines will be the first B737-900ER operator in Eastern Europe. This aircraft has enhanced fuel efficiency, a longer range and a higher seating capacity.

AeroSvit - Ukrainian Airlines, established in 1994, is the largest Ukrainian network carrier. In 2010 AeroSvit operates over 70 international air routes, including 5 transcontinental - to New York, Toronto, Beijing, Delhi and Bangkok.

Jointly with partner companies AeroSvit also provides passenger carriages to the largest regional centers of Ukraine - Dnepropetrovsk, Donetsk, Ivano-Frankovsk, Lugansk, Lvov, Odessa, Sevastopol, Simferopol, Kharkov, Chernovtsy and Uzhgorod.

AeroSvit operates long–haul Boeing 767, medium–haul Boeing 737, Airbus 320 and Embraer 195 aircraft and regional Embraer 145 and Antonov 148 aircraft on its routes.
