OREANDA-NEWS. January 31, 2011.The exhibition of the building materials industry of the Republic of Turkey organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan and the Meridyen International Exhibition Company at the in the Exhibition Centre closed.

As is known, the potential of the Turkmen construction industry steadily grows through substantial investment made in the construction sector and the favourable investment climate conducive to attracting leading foreign companies, producers of materials, special equipment and machinery to the country. Therefore, this exhibition in the Turkmen capital became a landmark event not only in the economic life of Turkmenistan but also for leading construction companies of the Republic of Turkey.

About eighty Turkish companies were represented at the forum. The versatile exposition included the sections presenting building materials, specialized machinery and equipment. Decoration paint-and-lacquer materials, sanitaryware and electrical devices, wall panels and innovations in the building sector aroused particular interest among the visitors.

The exhibition vividly illustrated the intense interest of leading foreign companies, which seek to offer most effective developments and innovations in the building industry to Turkmen partners, in the dynamically developing Turkmen market. It should be noted that Turkmenistan is actively interested in advanced technologies and know how viewing them as essential for the growth of the country’s technological potential. The construction sector relies on adoption of innovations which allow implementing ambitious and specific projects.

The three-day economic review was in the focus of attention of numerous specialists, experts and marketers, a remarkable event for citizens and numerous guests of Ashgabat. An exposition of building materials and construction equipment manufactured by Turkish producers became a considerable contribution to fostering international cooperation and attracting new investments and advanced technologies in this sector of Turkmen market. Fruitful talks between Turkmen construction specialists and Turkish producers, which enable to identify the fields of mutual interest and priorities for cooperation, took place. New points of contact will lay the groundwork for new contracts and projects and promote development of the domestic construction sector.

The building materials exhibition of the Republic of Turkey held in Ashgabat became a new step to strengthen mutually advantageous partnership between the two friendly countries.

Participants received diplomas and certificates during the closing exhibition ceremony.
