OREANDA-NEWS. March 09, 2011. Invited for the Belarusian Industrial Forum which is to take place in Minsk on 17-20 May will be world companies possessing cutting-edge technologies.

The first session of the steering committee chaired by First Vice Premier Vladimir Semashko has already been held in the run-up for the forum.

The Belarusian Industrial Forum is an annual event and this time it will focus on the projects for a new five-year period, a period of innovations and investments, Leonid Shenets said.

Over the last two years Belarus has been constantly reducing consumption of fuel through the use of new technologies. “Thanks to new technologies we reduce fuel consumption to the maximum. We are interested in the technologies the companies are supposed to bring to the forum,” Leonid Shenets said. Today Belarusian companies need advanced technologies in welding, electroplating and thermal industries which are power-intensive. These areas are in a strong need of qualitative and highly efficient equipment which is to be fitted at the companies of the Industry Ministry, State Military Industrial Committee and the Agriculture and Food Ministry.

The program of the forum will include an international specialized exhibition of energy efficient and resource saving technologies, equipment, materials in the industry, energy, construction, urban utilities services. An international symposium will highlight the theme Technologies. Equipment. Quality.

The primary goal of the forum is to provide assistance to Belarusian companies in addressing the tasks to expand the production of high-tech competitive products for the national and foreign markets. The forum will aim to promote the implementation of new high technologies and equipment, develop international cooperation, raise investment in the country’s industry.

According to the preliminary data of the organizing committee, partaking in the forum will be 300 to 350 organizations including companies from CIS and non-CIS countries.
