OREANDA-NEWS. April 25, 2011. Azerbaijani hotels and hotel-type facilities earned 105.9 million manats in 2010.

The State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan reports that gainings of hotels and hotel-type facilities grew last year by 9.2% up to 105.9 million manats. 71.1 million manats (67.7%) out of general earnings fell on the share of sales of rooms, 19.5 million manats (18.4%) on sale of foods and beverages, 7.7 million manats (7.3% ) on health and recreational services, 7 million manats (6.6%) on other services.

In 2010, costs of hotels and hotel-type facilities increased by 5.6 million manats (6.8%) and amounted to 89.7 million manats. In the structure of costs 22.6 million manats (25.7%) accounted for costs of purchasing materials, 19.5 million manats (22.2%) for depredation of fixed assets, 17.3 million manats (19.7%) for wages, 2.9 million manats (3.3%) for social insurance contributions, 25.6 million manats (29.1%) for other expenses.

As a result, last year’s profit of domestic hotel sector amounted to only 16.2 million manats.
