OREANDA-NEWS. July 18, 2011. KAMAZ continues controlling the situation at its subsidiary (Stavropol), one of the largest manufacturers of trailers – Avtopritsep-KAMAZ. It should be recalled that the daughter enterprise changed its top manager in April: Valery Eryomin was appointed CEO of the company. The results of the company’s activity for six months show effectiveness of the new management team.

During the first half-year, 1,266 trailers were produced and sold, revenues amounted to 516 million rubles; during a period of the new top manager’s work in the 2nd quarter, 743 trailers were made, revenues amounted to 309 million roubles. Compared with the business plan, the growth is 145%; against the same period of last year, the increase is 167% (for the 2nd quarter, the growth according to the business-plan is 145%; and it is 182% against the same period of last year). Moreover, in the second quarter, the company sold by 220 trailers more than in the first quarter, an increase made 142%. In the first quarter, the company sold by 523 units more than in the second quarter – 743 trailers. The company increases its production volumes – the daily output is 16 units (compared with the first quarter, it doubled).

The company pays special attention to the issues concerning the quality of manufactured products, such as application of new Helios paint materials and diode lighting technologies, installation of the ABS system on all manufactured units, unification of sides, a longer warranty service period. The company started forming a network providing service of manufactured products.

Within the frameworks of the company’s development, a number of negotiations were held. The company signed an agreement on deliveries of at least 450 trailers and 50 trucks in the second half-year of 2011. An agreement was signed to create a joint dealership center selling, installing and servicing Palfinger crane-manipulating installations in the North Caucasus Federal District and the Southern Federal District. Within the limits of development of innovative projects, an agreement was signed to manufacture plates for heat exchangers. In July, the company has already produced their prototypes. The negotiations were held, as a result, OJSC Avtopritsep-KAMAZ plans to sign an agreement to make axles and sides for the needs of the manufacturing units of OJSC KAMAZ.

The top managers set its staff the following tasks – the growth of labor productivity with a steady increase in product quality, implementation of Production System KAMAZ based on the principles of lean manufacturing at the enterprise. At the same time, the company will have to efficiently use its production space, develop diversification products and new products, the employees will have to improve their professional skills and undergo training. The top managers of the plant also pay great attention to multidisciplinary skills development, the company plans to introduce advanced methods of work.
