OREANDA-NEWS. August 18, 2011. According to the results of seven months of 2011, KAMAZ sold by 65 percent more KAMAZ-6520 dump trucks to customers than for the whole year of 2010.

The construction sector of the Russian economy has recently demonstrated high rates of production. The industry is gradually regaining positions which it began to lose during an economic downturn. As a result, there is a brisk demand for specialized cars produced by OJSC KAMAZ for the construction market.

A KAMAZ-6520 vehicle is one of the best trucks designed for transportation of construction bulk cargoes in large volumes. It features a great payload of 20 tons and is equipped with several types of oval-section body superstructures with a capacity of 12-20 cubic meters. As its driving force, the KAMAZ-6520 uses a 400hp KAMAZ engine, a 16-speed ZF gearbox produced by ZF KAMA JV. The vehicle is the best option for the use at a construction site when you need to transport a large amount of cargo in fewer truck rides. According to transport companies, the KAMAZ-6520 is most effectively used for medium and long legs.

After a restyling program in 2010, the KAMAZ-6520 not only changed its exterior, but also received upgraded components and systems, which enabled to improve consumer properties of the vehicle. The cab of the new design is very comfortable. New ergonomic solutions help a driver to carry out his work easier, faster and safer. Air suspension seats by GRAMMER in combination with a four-point air-suspension of the cab significantly reduced vibration and improved driving comfort, minimizing the risk of drivers’ occupational diseases. As an option, there are armrests, heated seats and air conditioning.

With a low initial cost, the KAMAZ-6520 pays back very quickly among competitors in this class. In addition, under conditions of rising fuel prices, a more efficient KAMAZ diesel engine with a Common Rail fuel-injection system significantly reduces operating costs.
