OREANDA-NEWS. August 18, 2011. The Moscow Domodedovo Airport has held a big business game for students as the participants in the target program "Influx".

The game involved 110 top students of the Domodedovo brunch of RSUH, selected on the basis of their academic achievements and results of a special testing, as well as the management of the airport.

Dmitry Kamenshchik, Chair of the Board, was the manager of this business game.

Our company needs a very large number of qualified personnel. If we do not bring them up, they will not appear by themselves, - said Dmitry Kamenshchik. - The shortage of trained personnel is a problem of any employer. Theoretically, there is a labor market, but in fact there is no one to work. We once have suffered of this problem, and I think, many my colleagues are doing now. The solution of the Domodedovo Airport is the program "Influx".

Over 10 years, the Moscow Domodedovo Airport has been implementing the Target Program "Influx", which is changing and improving, depending on the needs of the company and labor market conditions. One of the main know-how of the program is that its students are prepared for work at the airport literally from the first year: they have a target position, they know their future place in the organizational structure of the airport and understand their functional duties and responsibilities.

While studying at the university, young people listen to lectures and participate in master classes and trainings, designed specifically for them by experts of the Domodedovo Airport. After learning the theory of the airport companies' business, at the end of each academic year, the students have internship at the airport company, which they have chosen for their future career.

Today, due to the target program "Influx", 25% of the Moscow Domodedovo Airport staff are graduates of universities and secondary specialized educational institutions, for which the airport is the first employer. The program has proved itself as being the more effective one in dealing with another problem - staff turnover. In Domodedovo this figure is extremely low - in recent years, it has been ranging between 6 and 7 percent, including 3.5-4 percent of so-called forced layoffs, initiated by the company. These low rates were achieved due to the program "Inflow", scheduled to be actively expanded by attracting more students. The Moscow Domodedovo Airport cooperates with the Moscow Engineering and Physics Institute, Moscow University of Industry and the Russian State University for Humanities on a regular basis. Now about 2,000 students are covered by "Inflow", and their number is expected to increase by about half.

The program "Influx" provides scholarships up to 17,250 rubles to students of universities, and up to 11,500 rubles to students of secondary specialized educational institutions. Payment for a commercial form of education is also possible. A special form of motivating the best students includes business games, which has been held the third consecutive year.

Every time it is a new game with its rules and scenario. In 2011, the game was aimed at development of planning skills and carrying out the main arrangement and motivational activities. At the end of the game, in addition to the winner team, there were chosen the best in the profession: the best financial and general director, accounting technician, storekeeper, etc. Game matrix positions were analogs of positions used in the staffing structure of the Moscow Domodedovo Airport.

When congratulating the winners, Chairman of the Board of the Moscow Domodedovo Airport said, that it would be recorded in the students' index cards, if they were chosen the best as a result of this game.

It will contribute to your career at the Domodedovo Airport for sure, - Dmitriy Kamenshchik said to the winners.
