OREANDA-NEWS. September 14, 2011. In August 2011, Avlita Stevedoring Company exported 199,000 tonnes of grain, which is 85,000 tonnes or 74.5% more than in July.

The company's share in the total volume of grain exported via Ukrainian ports (1.5m tonnes) was 13.2% in August. Avlita Stevedoring Company transhipped 77,000 tonnes of wheat and 122,000 tonnes of barley.

Over the last month, the deepwater berth No. 21 handled seven grain vessels of different tonnage and  exported grain to Saudi Arabia, Spain and Israel.

"This year we expect a good grain harvest, most of which will be exported through sea ports and terminals. We are committed to creating comfortable transhipment conditions for the grain traders: we provide a sufficient storage capacity, do the loading quickly, and have the berths able to accommodate Panamax grain vessels," noted acting CEO of Avlita Stevedoring Company Sergey Posokhov.
