OREANDA-NEWS. November 11, 2011. Cathay Pacific Airways is proud to have won two coveted titles at the 2011 Business Traveller China Awards held in Beijing. The airline received the “Best Asian Airline Serving China” title for the second consecutive year and also picked up the “Best Airline First Class” honour, reported the press-centre of Cathay Pacific.

Cathay Pacific General Manager China Sam Swire, who collected the awards on behalf of the airline, said: “China is an important market for Cathay Pacific and we are delighted to receive such great recognition for our products and services from this important group of business travellers. I attribute these awards to the great team at Cathay Pacific who go all out to ensure each passenger has a great experience every time they fly with us.”

Cathay Pacific currently offers scheduled services to Beijing and Shanghai. The airline also offers seamless connections with its sister airline Dragonair to provide travellers from Mainland China with access to an extensive international network through the Hong Kong hub.

Launched in 2007, Cathay Pacific’s revolutionary First Class cabin provides passengers with more space and privacy, creating the feel of a private relaxation suite. The innovative seat can be used as an armchair, a chaise longue or an extra long and wide bed. An ottoman in the suite and an extendable table means passengers can invite friends or colleagues to join them in their suite inflight, all the time enjoying the airline’s unparalleled service.

Business Traveller China has been awarding key players in the hospitality industry through its annual award for seven years. This year’s voting exercise asked readers to put their stamp of approval on travel and hospitality providers grouped in 35 categories, including nine for airlines and 22 for hotels and resorts and four for cities.
