OREANDA-NEWS. December 20, 2011. Sviaz-Bank acted as agent to pay interest on the eleventh coupon and redeem 20% of the par value of Series 05 bonds of Rostelecom OJSC, and also interest on the ninth coupon of Series 06 bonds issued by Rostelecom OJSC.

Holders of Series 05 bonds were paid coupon interest at a rate of 7.6% per annum, or 15 rubles 16kopecks per bond, and 20% of the par value of each security in accordance with the debt repayment schedule. The Bank paid a total amount of 395,913,971 rubles 56 kopecks after tax.

The holders of Series 06 bonds were paid coupon interest at a rate of 7.8% per annum, or 38rubles 89 kopecks per bond. The total amount paid out was 77,773,332rubles after tax.

Rostelecom OJSC offered its Series 05 and 06 bond issues on February 15, 2011 by converting SeriesD2 bonds of the Far Eastern Telecommunication Company OJSC and Series 05 bonds issued by the Southern Telecommunications Company OJSC , respectively, after both had been taken over by Rostelecom OJSC.

The Far Eastern Telecommunication Company OJSC floated its six-year D2 Series bonds on June 7, 2006 to raise 2 billion rubles.

The Southern Telecommunications Company OJSC offered its five-year Series 05 bonds on June 6, 2007 to raise 2 billion rubles.

Sviaz-Bank was managing underwriter of both issues.
