OREANDA-NEWS. December 21, 2011. The JSC “Techsnabexport” (TENEX) 2010 Annual Report has won the second place in the nomination “The Best Integrated Report” at the Third Nuclear Industry Contest of annual reports, and was also awarded a special prize “Breakthrough of the Year”.

The contest was attended by 47 companies affiliated to the Rosatom State Corporation. The first place was shared by the two companies - the JSC “Nizhny Novgorod Engineering company “Atomenergoproject” (NIAEP) and JSC “TVEL”, while the JSC “Saint-Petersburg “Atomenergorpoeject” (SPbAEP) held the third place.

Annual reports were evaluated by a number of criteria such as disclosing of information on the company’s core activities, disclosing of information on economic, environmental and social impacts, quality of public accounting, trustworthiness of the information contained in the report and design functionality. TENEX was awarded the third prize in the nomination “Best level of information disclosing” and in the nomination “Best quality of public accounting system”.

The jury comprised the experts representing Russian Industrialist and Entrepreneurs Union, Russian Institute of Directors, PricewaterhouseCoopers Audit and Ernst and Young (CIS) audit companies, Environment and Energy rating agency “Interfax-ERA”, Inter-regional non-governmental organization “Green Cross”, Commission for Legislative Support of Activities of the Subjects of Natural Monopolies, state corporations and state-owned commercial entities of the RF State Duma, Institute of Sustainable Development at the RF Public Chamber, Institute for Problems of Sustainable Development of Nuclear Power at the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAN), and Russian Trade Union of Nuclear Power and Industry Workers.

Congratulating TENEX with the Honoured success, Coordinator of the Project “Creating and implementing a public accounting system at the Rosatom State Corporation and its affiliates” Marina Galushkina highlighted that “while preparing its 2010 report, TENEX has made a tremendous leap in report preparation compared to the previous year, that allowed the Company to become an absolute champion in the nomination “Breakthrough of the Year”.

In addition to a profound presentation of financial and economic indicators, TENEX 2010 Annual Report provides a detailed information on the Company’s efforts in the field of sustainable development and prospects for its mid- and long-term development. The report discloses 27 indicators of the Global Reporting Initiative that allows the Company’s partners and stakeholders to create an integral view of TENEX.
