OREANDA-NEWS. December 26, 2011. Based on the latest bid awards, JSC EMAlliance concluded contracts for designing and supply of power engineering equipment for three Power Plant Projects in Ukraine which are as follows: Power Unit No.6 at Kurakhovskaya TPS (owned by VOSTOKENERGO Ltd.), Power Unit No.3 at Zaporozhskaya TPS (owned by JSC DNEPROENERGO) and Power Unit No.5 at Burshtynskaya TPS (owned by JSC ZAPADENERGO). The total price for works on the above Projects is more than RUR 480 million.

In accordance with the said concluded contracts, JSC EMAlliance will design and supply power equipment within the framework of retrofitting of the boiler plants, as listed below: heating surfaces, boiler burners and power piping for Power Unit No. 6 at Kurakhovskaya TPS, Power Unit No.3 at Zaporozhskaya TPS and Power Unit No.5 at Burshtynskaya TPS. The retrofitting of the above mentioned Power Units will allow an optimization of thermal and combustion processes, replacing the existing equipment items, which completed their service life, with those upgraded in order to increase the flexibility and reliability of the Power Units and the Stations in general.

All equipment items under the contracts will be manufactured by PJSC TKZ Krasny Kotelshchik that is the key production site of JSC EMAlliance. It should be noted that Krasny Kotelshchik has mastered a number of perspective technologies, which by now have not been used by other Russian companies, in order to successfully execute the above orders.

The scheduled date of the completion of works on the projects for Kurakhovskaya TPS and Zaporozhskaya TPS retrofitting is August 2012, and the project completion for Burshtynskaya TPS is scheduled for June 2012.

It should be noted that these are not the first contracts of JSC EMAlliance aimed at retrofitting of these plants. In 2010 the Company has signed contracts with VOSTOKENERGO Ltd. and JSC DNEPROENERGO under the terms and conditions of general contract for retrofitting Power Units No.8 at Kurakhovskaya TPS and No.1 at Zaporozhskaya TPS and a contract with JSC ZAPADENERGO for boiler auxiliary equipment supply within the framework of the project of Burshtynskaya TPS Power Unit No.7 retrofitting.

Vice President of JSC EMAlliance Konstantin Smorochinsky comments: The well-balanced, consistent and dynamic policy of the development of DTEC holding is aimed at keeping its leading positions on the Ukraine fuel industry & power market, and that will provide, in its turn, the system planning and employment of the engineering and production capacities of the manufactures of the main boiler equipment and step-by-step implementation of successful technical decisions on the project execution. Modern approaches, which JSC EMAlliance successfully implements on the basis of its own practical experience during the execution of the projects for retrofitting of Ukraine Power Units, allow creating a strong long-term partnership between our companies, for which we undoubtedly strive.
