Connecting to the bank’s Internet service system “SB linija” the clients of Siauliu bankas are able finding out and watching their credit history in real time independently  and free of charge, i.e. they can observe outstanding and covered past due payments to financial institutions, telecommunication, utility service, insurance and enterprises of other sectors. Siauliu bankas starts rendering such type of service in co-operation with the credit bureau “Creditinfo”, which is managing the personal credit history system “Manocreditinfo.lt”.

“A clear credit history is important to everyone as it can have an impact on loan interest, amount of a collateral and initial instalment and sometimes even on the overall possibility to take advantage of the lending services, - says the Head of the Retail Banking Division of Siauliu bankas Arunas Uzupis. - Since now the bank’s clients will be able receiving information regarding changes in personal credit history free of charge and reacting to them expediently. This is how we foster financial responsibility and sustainable borrowing of our residents”.  

Connecting to “SB linija” Siauliu bankas’ clients can have access to the “Manocreditinfo.lt” system and once a year they are able using free possibilities such as finding out the history of the past due debts during the period of ten years, the outstanding past due indebtedness and what companies have shown interest in their credit history over the two past years.

Moreover, all registered to “Manocreditinfo.lt” system are entitled to a free of charge service to observe the amendments in their history - upon the client’s request the information regarding the change in credit rating , new outstanding debt registered on his behalf  or interest in his credit history is sent via e-mail.

“The system “Manocreditinfo.lt” is designed so that people can self-monitor their credit history, which has already been collected and stored at the credit bureau “Creditinfo”. Data to the credit bureau is provided by the financial, telecommunications, insurance, utilities and entities of other sectors. We remind that the credit bureau collects and stores credit histories of all Lithuanian citizens over 18 years old. Even if the person is not past due for payment for goods or services. If a person has no past due payments, then the credit history is clean”, - says Marius Zaikauskas, the director of the project of the personal credit history system “Manocreditinfo.lt”.

According M.Zaikauskas the residents will be encouraged to fulfil their financial liabilities in time by the fact that data about past due payments will be collected in the credit bureau “Creditinfo.lt” for the period of ten years. Even after covering a past due payment, a record regarding a past due debt will be available for credit bureau participants for the past ten years.

In accordance with the data of the personal credit history system “Manocreditinfo.lt” during the recent four years the number of residents who had or gave a record in their credit history regarding a past due payment has increased by 2,5 times and reaches 695 thou. Currently appr. 228 thou of Lithuanian residents have the record about the outstanding past due debt.
