OREANDA-NEWS.  February 3, 2012. The Hebei general office recently released the province's economic statistics during a press conference that showed the province's GDP exceeded 2.4 trillion yuan (USD 380 billion) in 2011. This exhibits an 11 percent year-on-year increase.

Guo Hongbo, head of the province's statistics bureau, said the grain output experienced a large harvest and jumped to 63.4 billion jin (31.7 billion kilograms). The total investment to fixed assets reached 1.6 trillion yuan, up 24 percent over the same period last year and the import and export values rose to USD 53.6 billion. The annual per person income for those residing in urban areas also increased by 13 percent over the last year, reaching nearly 20,000 yuan.
