OREANDA-NEWS. February 6, 2012. Gazprom Neft is to transfer 26 million roubles to children's social institutions. The money was collected through the Christmas Miracle charity fundraising program held at Gazprom Neft’s petrol stations in November and December in 20 regions of Russia and Belarus.

About 140,000 motorists took part in the campaign, which is 1,5 times more people than in 2010's event. The collected funds will be used to improve the lives of children from 25 institutions in Gazprom Neft's regions of presence including Moscow, St Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Omsk, Tyumen, Kemerovo, Chelyabinsk, Yekaterinburg and others. The most money was raised at the filling stations of Gazprom Neft Center, Gazprom Neft Novosibirsk and Gazprom Neft Ural.

The campaign was open to all motorists who used the services of Gazprom Neft's filling stations in 20 regions of Russia and Belarus. A part from every fuel sale was transferred to children's homes, hospitals and orphanages. On top of that, each participant was given the opportunity to decide what their contribution would be used for: medicine, clothing, footwear, sporting equipment, books or toys.
