OREANDA-NEWS.  February 13, 2012.  The fifth World Traditional Wushu Championships will kick off on November 5 in Huangshan city of east China's Anhui Province, the local authority says on Monday.

More than 5,000 athletes and working staff from over 80 countries and regions will participate in the competitions of the seven-day championships, said a spokesman from the sports bureau of Huangshan city.

The World Traditional Wushu Championships, sponsored by the International Wushu Federation, is currently among the world's largest, and most influential sports events of martial arts.

World Traditional Wushu Championships is held every two years. The previous four editions of this event was held in China's Zhengzhou city and Shiyan city.
