OREANDA-NEWS.  February 15, 2012. Most of the funds (11.2 thousand RUR or 67%) will be allocated for providing the Company’s personnel with individual protection equipment.

In 2011, IDGC of the North-west, JSC allocated over 240 mln RUR for occupational safety actions. As compared to 2010, the amount of expenditures increased by 16.4%.

Per one worker, of IDGC of the North-West health and safety expenditures made 16.7 thousand RUR. Most of the funds (11.2 thousand RUR or 67%) will be allocated for providing the Company’s personnel with individual protection equipment.

17% of the health and safety funds (expenditures) were allocated for sanitary and hygiene actions for prevention of occupational diseases including arrangement of preliminary, pre-shift and pre-trip medical examinations, provision with neutralization remedies and IDGC of the North-West personnel vaccination.
Approximately 9% were allocated for accident prevention actions. Among them are workplace attestation, team professional skills competitions, completing occupational safety rooms and stands, training classrooms and road safety rooms with training and drill instruction aids. Over 7% of the funds were allocated for actions for general improvement of labour conditions.
