OREANDA-NEWS. February 17, 2012. The Government decides an issue on introduction a special regime of taxation of income of employees of IT sector, which in turn should help to eliminate them from the shadows. The Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov said this at the cabinet session, reporting on the results of his meeting with the rectors of leading universities, which train professionals of IT industry and with managers of companies which operate in this field.

"The organizers of business in this area have proposed to introduce special regime for taxation of income of employees of the industry to bring them out of the shadows - the Government decides the issue - Mykola Azarov said. - Administrative barriers were and we have removed them. And in other things we have gone towards the industry that is growing rapidly".

According to the Head of the Government two bills are prepared which will define directions and will stimulate the industry.

Mykola Azarov said that during the meeting was discussed how to make the industry for the next decade an engine of economic growth of Ukraine and Ukraine - the world's leading producer of original software.

For all the expertise and forecasts production of domestic IT industry, own domestic information technology as the product is most promising in the global economy. These are products with high added value, export-oriented, enabling us, in particular, the negative trade balance.

Today the Ukrainian IT-industry is at the 5th place in Europe for exports of services in software. According to experts the annual volume of the domestic IT-services market is 12 billion UAH, of which 80% are aimed at foreign markets, and growth rate is 30-40% per year.

"What other branch of the Ukrainian economy can boast such a rate?" - Mykola Azarov said, adding that the Government pays much attention to development of IT-industry of domestic economy and science.
