OREANDA-NEWS.  February 17, 2012. On 16 February Tbilisi ( Georgia) hosted Azerbaijani- Georgian-Turkish business forum.

At the forum Economic Development Minister of Azerbaijan Shahin Mustafayev said that in the last 5 years the country invested over USD 800 million to Georgian economy.

" In 2010 and 2011 Socar Georgia Petroleum was the largets taxpayer in Georgia and investing USD 32 million in 2011 , becamt its largets investor. On the whole the company invested over USD 700 million to Georgian economy",- Sh. Mustafayev said.

In his words, 106 Georgian companies are registered in Azerbaijan and 272 Azerbaijani companies- in Georgia. Azerbaijani companies opened 7.000 workplaces in Georgia. In 2011 trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Georgia rose by 36%.

" SOCAR and other Azerbaijani companies invested USD 4,5 bn in Turkish economy. 967 Turkish companies are registered in Azerbaijan and 844 Azerbaijani companies- in Turkey. Trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Turket rose by 87% in 2011",- Sh. Mustafayev said.
