OREANDA-NEWS.  February 17, 2012. Latvian national airline airBaltic has achieved +24% postal cargo growth in the past three winter months due to more customers taking advantage of airBaltic’s transit service via North Hub Riga to/ from 60 destinations in Europe, Middle East and Russia/CIS.

In the past three months of November, December and January the postal cargo grew to 1 370 000 kg or +24% more than the same period a year ago, as airBaltic partnered with additional international postal operators, attracted by airBaltic’s prices and convenient transit via North Hub Riga. Currently airBaltic cooperates with 37 international postal service companies.

As for the postal cargo, 70% of its total amount is carried by airBaltic in transit via Riga to/from 60 destinations in Europe, Middle East, Russia and CIS.
