OREANDA-NEWS. February 22, 2012. Tata Power Delhi Distribution has achieved a rare milestone by winning three leading communication awards in the internal communication category for FY 2011-12. The Indy’s award (the latest in the line of recognitions) ceremony took place on February 15, 2012, in Mumbai at Taj Lands End hotel, where Navodaya was declared the ‘Best In-house News Magazine’. The award was presented to Ajey Maharaj, head, group corporate communications, Tata Power Delhi Distribution, and his team by Deepali Naair, country head, brand and corporate communications, L&T General Insurance Company.

Speaking about the rare achievement, Mr Maharaj said, “In today's business environment, effective

internal communication is more critical than ever. At Tata Power Delhi Distribution, our thrust has been on two-way communication channels which include unique ways of disseminating clear, factual and timely information with an in-built mechanism to capture employee feedback. These three leading industry recognitions in FY 2012-11 speak volumes about our efforts and will encourage us to adopt innovative means to further strengthen the effectiveness of our existing communication channels. We believe that every communication medium has its own life cycle after which it fails to get the required attention and recall among its target audience. The solution to this problem lies in constantly innovating our mediums and to adapt to our readers’ changing requirements and preferences. Creating the wow factor and delivering beyond expectations is a requirement to achieve success in the ever-changing communication scenario.”
