OREANDA-NEWS. February 27, 2012. Cooperation between Ukraine and the IMF continues. This was stressed by Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov, communicating with users of Facebook.

"Our cooperation with the IMF continues" - the Prime Minister noted. He also said that the Government was working at the budget for 2012, which had been agreed with IMF. Also monetary policy is currying according to the cooperation program with the IMF.

"We have only one difference with the Fund: they think that we must immediately raise rates for people in housing and communal services sphere due to sharp increase of prices for gas. We believe that we must first of all realize the energy saving program, reduce heat loss, electricity and gas also agree with Russia on review of contracts"- the Prime Minister said.

Thus he noted that at the last meeting with IMF Managing Director Christine Lagarde the issue of cooperation in such manner was addressed. Then it was agreed to establish a working group to review the Program. "I want to assure you that in any case the financial situation in Ukraine is reliable, we fully count off by our commitments and therefore confidently look forward".
