OREANDA-NEWS. March 02, 2012. Evgeny Bogomolsky has been appointed head of Large Projects Division of DTEK, a unit responsible for the full cycle of retrofit and capital construction of production facilities.
 
Before joining DTEK Mr Bogomolsky served as Director for Master Projects Implementation at the Russian company JSC “Group E4” where he was responsible for strategic management and supervised construction of 13 power units in the territory of the Russian Federation.
 
“DTEK is a rapidly developing company with enough investments to support its leading position in the Ukrainian energy market. During the last five years investments in development of the company’s assets totaled to nearly one and a half billion US dollars. Like every other country of the former Soviet union Ukraine is facing the problem of energy system deterioration and DTEK has the potential to overcome it. I am happy to join the team that sets ambitious goals and works steadfastly towards achieving them,” Evgeny Bogomolsky, Director for Large Projects of DTEK said.
 
“Over 2012-2016, DTEK is planning the biggest retrofit of thermal power units in Ukraine. It will extend the equipment service life by 15-20 years, increase its capacity and cost-effectiveness. The retrofit programme will embrace 8 units of Zakhidenergo and 11 units of Eastenergo and Dniproenergo. The expected amount of investments is more than UAH 20bn. It will enable DTEK to keep its position of the most efficient energy company in Ukraine. Mr. Bogomolsky’s experience will help the company form a systematic approach to implementation of large investments projects and structure the process in line with the world best practices,” – Maxim Timchenko, DTEK's CEO, said.
