OREANDA-NEWS. May 12, 2012. The delegation of the National Oil and Gas Group “Petrovietnam” headed by its leader Do Van Hau was in Moscow. Vietnamese partners met in Zarubezhneft’s office with the General Director Nikolay Brunich and discussed with him the subjects of bilateral cooperation within the frames of the joint projects in Vietnam and Russia. General Director of JV “Vietsovpetro” Nguyen Huu Tuyen and his First Deputy Andrey Patrushev also participated in the meeting.

A particular attention in the course of discussion was paid to joint project of “JC “RUSVIETPETRO” LLC in Nenets Autonomous Area. It was noted that the project is fast developing, and in August (this year) the 3rd field out of 13 will be put into production – West-Khosedayuskoye. In February, 2-millionth ton of oil was produced, and by the end of summer it is expected to produce the three-millionth ton.

On March 23, heads of Zarubezhneft and Petrovietnam visited northern fields of “JC “RUSVIETPETRO” LLC where they became acquainted with a progress of the project realization.

Russian-Vietnamese delegation viewed the facilities of the West-Khosedayuskoye field under construction. At present, drilling and development of the wells are being conducted in the field, shifts residential complex, booster pump station and inter-field oil pipeline are being constructed. The heads of the companies marked a high-quality performance of the works in West-Khosedayuskoye field and high rates of construction.

Works on surface facilities construction are continued at two fields – Visovoye and North-Khosedayuskoye. The latter was also visited by the delegation.

Currently, over 5 thousand tons of oil are produced daily from the two fields. In 2013, the fourth field will be put into production. Within the closest 5 years JC “RUSVIETPETRO” headed by Zarubezhneft and Petrovietnam intends to reach a maximal oil production level of 5 million tons per year.

Recently appointed head of “Petrovietnam” Group Do Van Hau for the first time visited Russian North and the production facilities of RUSVIETPETRO. He expressed a highest opinion of the company’s work. The parties noted that, despite severe conditions of the Far North, under which oilmen have to work, remoteness from the industrially developed regions and absence of infrastructure, oil and gas facilities are successfully put into operation, and it has become possible due to intensive labour of oilfields workers and the right organization of the work process.

The next day the heads of the two companies by invitation of the governor of Nenets Autonomous Area (NAA) Igor Fedorov participated in activities of the sports festival “Buran-Dey” in Naryan-Mar which included the contests on snowmobile races, sled reindeer rounds and sports show. The festival is held yearly in NAA under the patronage of the governor.

In the course of the meeting with the governor the parties discussed development of Zarubezhneft and Petrovietnam’s projects on Nenets land and participation of the companies in support of the NAA’s social-and-economical and cultural programs.
