OREANDA-NEWS. June 5, 2012. Belarus’ output of all mineral fertilizers decreased 10.5% on the year in January-April 2012 to 2.042 million tonnes, a representative of Belarus’ Statistics Committee told reporters.

The output of potash fertilizers decreased 13.5% on the year in January-April to 1.669 million tonnes, of nitrogen fertilizers went up 4.4% to 289,100 tonnes, and the production of phosphate fertilizers went up 12.7% to 82,200 tonnes in the period.

Chemical fiber and filament production grew 6.1% to 79,400 tonnes.

Combined output of Belarus’ chemical and petrochemical industry went up 33.8% on the year in January-April 2012 to 27.881 trillion Belarusian rubles (Br) in monetary terms (USD 3.396 billion at the NBB rate).

Inventories of chemical and petrochemical companies were at 32% of the average monthly output, or 1.5 trillion rubles (USD 186.48 million).
