OREANDA-NEWS. June 7, 2012. Russian airline Ak Bars Aero informed International Vilnius Airport on the termination of flights from Vilnius to Saint Petersburg as of 4 June.

The airline representatives state that the termination of flights is the result of the lack of aircraft; moreover, it has been reported that the airline was dissatisfied with aircraft loading of 40 percent. Vilnius International Airport, acknowledging the tourism and business sectors potential regarding Saint Petersburg destination, is seeking to ensure flights with different companies.

Airline Ak Bars Aero was operating flights to the second largest city in Russia Saint Petersburg as of 26 March this year. Flights were performed twice a week – Mondays and Thursdays.
