OREANDA-NEWS. June 7, 2012. TRF employees along with their family members participated in a mass awareness programme and planted 500 trees in its works and residential colony on the occasion of World Environment Day on June 5, 2012. The company launched a new programme called, Mera Pedh, Mera Parivar under which employees residing in TRF colony were invited to plant and adopt newly planted saplings and commit themselves to look after the trees just as they do with their family members.

Several company employees campaigned voluntarily from door to door in the residential colony to create awareness about the environment among the employees and their family members and urged them to participate in the Mera Pedh, Mera Parivar programme. Some of the volunteers also presented a short skit on the hazards that the environment was facing and the need for balanced industrial growth.

Hemant Kharkar, COO, TRF, and Rakeshwar Pandey, president, TRF Labour Union, along with senior officers and members of the labour union participated in the tree plantation programme.
