The employees were encouraged to use car pooling in order to optimise use of valuable resource and simultaneously reduce carbon footprint. The enthusiastic participation from employees, stakeholders along their families was an expression of their commitment towards conservation of environment.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. D.S. Kudalkar, Head - Jojobera Station, Tata Power, said, “The 2012 World Environment Day is also the 40th anniversary for World Environment Day, and marks twenty years of the historic Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro, 1992. Instead of looking upon others to be environment savior, let us do our bit in ensuring that momentum on environment and development issues is provided and is in the right direction. The objective of the activities planned at our plant is to spread awareness on environment conservation  and encourage employees and partners to commit towards doing whatever is possible at our end to save earth. ”
