OREANDA-NEWS. June 8, 2012. Two years ago, around 180 new self-service banking terminals were installed across Austria under a partnership between Erste Bank und Sparkassen and OMV. As well as almost 8,000 sales of account cards and savings cards, the number of deposits and withdrawals has also increased massively at the banking terminals of OMV filling stations with a VIVA Shop. “Banking transactions worth around 2 million euros are now carried out every day at our automatic machines in OMV filling stations,” says Peter Bosek, board member in charge of private and business customers at Erste Bank, summing up the partnership with OMV. Compared to 2010, this represents a 30% increase in transactions. Anyone can withdraw cash using the self-service terminals at OMV filling stations with VIVA, while customers of Sparkassengruppe are also able to pay in money and carry out bank transfers.

New joint promotion – one free coffee

As a small gift, customers who carry out a transaction at a banking terminal in a VIVA Shop and also spend at least 30 euros on refueling their car will receive a voucher for a free coffee at all OMV filling stations with VIVA with immediate effect. “The OMV filling stations offer more than just fuel. They see themselves as multi-functional service centers; they are filling station for people and vehicles. The banking terminals of Erste Bank und Sparkassen are an important additional service for our customers that also helps them to save time. As well as normal cash withdrawals, many people from small and medium-sized businesses also carry out banking transactions here while refueling their cars,” explains Harald Joichl, head of OMV’s Filling Station Business in Austria and Germany.
