OREANDA-NEWS. June 8, 2012. Gazprom Neft has opened its first filling station in Ukraine. The company has entered the Ukraine petroleum retail market using a franchising scheme, signing a contract with an existing player in the local fuel retail market.

Ukraine’s first filling station branded Gazpromneft is located 34km along the Kiev-Odessa motorway. The station has an area of 240mќ, of which 120mќ is occupied by a shop and cafe. Both high-octane petrol (AI-92 and AI-95) and diesel fuels are available to purchase at the station, which also offers free Wi-Fi, baby-changing facilities, tyre inflation and water and gas refills.

Three more Gazpromneft filling stations are currently under construction along the Kiev-Odessa motorway and will be operational in the near future. The fuel sold at the company’s Ukrainian stations will be supplied by the Mozyr oil refinery. All filling stations will be constructed according to the standard specifications of the Gazpromneft retail network brand, in compliance with its standards and requirements. Company specialists will perform regular audits on all filling stations operating under the franchising scheme in Ukraine, checking fuel quality and the level of service offered at the stations and ensuring that the Ukrainian stations meet the high standards of the Gazpromneft retail network.

“The company’s first entry into a new market through a franchising scheme will enable us to assess the prospects of the Gazpromneft retail network in Ukraine and decide what steps to take to increase our presence on the supply side of business in this country”, stated Alexander Dyukov, the Chairman of Gazprom Neft Management Board.
