OREANDA-NEWS. June 13, 2012. The Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) organized a creative drawing contest in Yanbu to discover new and hidden talents among school students at various levels and age groups, both boys and girls.

The contest attracted more than 400 entries covering three key subjects:  preservation of the environment, the construction boom, and SABIC products. A panel of judges, comprising teachers, selected the top 30 works of distinction, with nine shortlisted as the winning entries.

The nine student winners were honored at a ceremony held at the Educational Department in Yanbu under the patronage of Mohammed bin Farraj Bakhit, Yanbu Director of Education, and in the presence of two presidents of SABIC manufacturing affiliates – Ahmed Al-Shaikh, YANPET, and Osama Bashaikh, YANSAB.
