OREANDA-NEWS. June 14, 2012. According to the National Bureau of Statistics, adjusted to inflation, its real size grew 2,1%. In the budget sector the average salary was 2932,5 leis, 6,9% up as compared with April, 2011. In the real sector it grew 6,8% to 3544,1 leis.

The highest average salary, as usual, was paid to workers of the banking sector and amounted to 7741,2 leis(+1,6% against April, 2011).

The average wage at heat-, power- and water -supplying companies made up 5655,6 leis (+2,4%).

The average salary at transport and communication companies increased by 10,2% to 4439 leis.

The lowest average wages were given to workers of fishery, making 1543,2 leis (+0,8%),), and to farmers and workers of forestry, being 1957,7 leis (+13,6%). Wages in hotel and restaurant business remain low too.

In this April they were 2472,5 leis (+8,5%), being 2856,4 leis (+7,3%) in trade and 2772 leis (+8,9%) in education.
