OREANDA-NEWS. June 14, 2012. Belarus’ President Alexander Lukashenko signed an ordinance on May 24 to establish a jewellery holding company in Belarus, with OJSC Gomel Kristall acting as a patron company, the president’s press-service reports.

The holding company shall include Gomel-based Kristall, OJSC Beljuvelirtorg and CJSC Belgran (both based in Minsk).

The jewelry holding company will help optimize the supplies of Belarusian-made jewelry to the retail trade network, enhance efficiency by means of sustaining common standards in technology, price formation and marketing.

The ordinance is complete with provisions to simplify taxation, the movement of financial and fixed assets, the development of a singled trade network.
