OREANDA-NEWS. June 14, 2012. Russian Telecom Equipment Company (RTEC), manufacturer of trusted telecommunications equipment, has obtained a certificate from the Russian FSB on its RSCB-X network security hardware-software complex.  According to the certificate, RSCB-X complies with the Russian FSB requirements in the area of information protection against unauthorized access in Class AK1 automated information systems.

The RSCB-X hardware-software complex is a high-performance fault-tolerant solution which can simultaneously support Russian and foreign data security applications (firewalls, Web applications and database security tools, intrusion detection and prevention systems, antivirus scanners, e-mail security solutions, virtual private networks, encryption tools) on a single "trusted" platform.  Modular design enables high scalability with hardware and software redundancy. Flexibility and reliability of RSCB-X makes it possible to install new applications and replace obsolete ones, as well as enhance general performance of the platform without any changes in the network architecture.  RSCB-X supports a 5 to 140 Gbit/s throughput.

Besides, RSCB-X makes it possible for the customers to consolidate network infrastructure (switches, load balancing systems, data and power cables) and specialized network security devices.  This approach greatly facilitates deployment of the system by reducing the number of devices, their form-factor and TCO.  The hardware-software complex is produced at the manufacturing facilities of the State Corporation “Russian Technologies”.
