OREANDA-NEWS.  June 21, 2012. More than 70 delegates from 20 leading Western and Russian companies attended the Sukhoi Superjet 100 Program Suppliers Conference in Moscow, reported the press-centre of UAC.

Delegations of PowerJet, Messier Bugatti Dowty, B/E Aerospace, Thales, and KnAAPO with SCAC and SuperJet International were headed by their CEOs while other companies including Zodiac, Leibherr, Honeywell, Hamilton Sundstrand, Parker, NAPO and VASO were presented by deputies to CEO, Vice Presidents or Program Directors.

Key partners and suppliers expressed their support to the Sukhoi Superjet 100 program and their readiness to undertake all necessary measures to increase production rates and improve their product quality. In order to provide smooth SSJ100 operations by the airlines, suppliers expressed their readiness to improve their responsiveness to the customers’ requests.

During the conference SCAC senior management provided the participants with the current Sukhoi Superjet 100 program status including the increase of the SCAC production capacity and perspectives of the SSJ100 order backlog growth.

“We should increase the production rates and strengthen the after-sale support to make the SSJ100 program successful both in local and international markets. The readiness of key partners and suppliers of the Sukhoi Superjet 100 program to work jointly on increasing production rates and improving components quality reflects not only the support of the program after the recent tragedy in Indonesia but the confidence in the future success of our product – the SSJ100 commercial aircraft”, noted SCAC President Vladimir Prisyazhnyuk.

Key partners and suppliers also confirmed their readiness to continue cooperation with SCAC on re-pricing, understanding the necessity to improve the economic conditions relevant to the supplied parts, with the firm intent to to promote the SSJ100 program.
