Ukrainian Economy Shows Revival against Recession in European Market
OREANDA-NEWS. June 21, 2012. The government has managed to determine threats to the national economy and to promptly respond to them. Due to the competent decisions, national economy shows recovery. This was stressed by Prime Minister Mykola Azarov at a Government sitting.
"Facts prove that we are on the right track. 2012 year had been begun not very favorable for the Ukrainian economy: extremely harsh winter and a number of objective and subjective reasons had slowed down economic growth," said Mykola Azarov.
He also stressed the government managed to overcome the negative factors for the economy and to ensure its growth. "The government promptly saw negative trends, has analyzed the causes and has found mechanisms for the situation correcting. The result is unfortunately a small but encouraging revival of economic activity," Prime Minister emphasized. He also added the Ukrainian trend is particularly noticeable in the background of almost total recession of the European market.
According to Mykola Azarov, for 5 months in 2012 the industrial production increased by approximately 2%. After many months of the actual stagnation there has been recorded growth of construction industry: for 5 months it amounted to 100.7%.
