OREANDA-NEWS. June 20, 2012. Belarus’ OJSC Gorodeya Sugar Refinery (based in Minsk Region) has made a contract with Israel’ Belarus-Israel Food Company Ltd to supply 100,000 tonnes of sugar to Israel in 2012-2014, an official with Belarus’ Food Industries Concern (Belgospischeprom) told.

As much as 40,000 tonnes of sugar will be supplied annually.

Belarus-Israel Food Company Ltd has also made a deal with Belarus’ OJSC Gomel Fat Factory to supply to the Israeli market rapeseed oil. As much as 500 tonnes of rapeseed oil will be shipped on a monthly basis.

According to preliminary estimates, the share of Belarusian rapeseed oil on the Israeli market may reach 35%. Rapeseed oil accounts for 80% of Israel’s vegetable oil market.

By the end of the year Belarus-Israel Food Company Ltd plans to procure USD 5 million worth of Belarusian-made products.
