OREANDA-NEWS. June 22, 2012. BNP Paribas Wealth Management is pleased to announce the following seven senior appointments as part of its growth plan for the Asia Pacific region, reported the press-centre of BNP Paribas.

Mr. Ivan Ching, Mr. Alex Xu, Ms. Maggie Zhang and Ms. Mandy Koo joined the China Team to tap the growing high net worth class in China market.

Ivan Ching joined BNP Paribas Wealth Management in April as Managing Director, China Market, based in Hong Kong; reporting to Alfred Tsai, Head of China Market, BNP Paribas Wealth Management. Ivan brings with him over 17 years of experience in servicing high net worth and consumer clients of China market. He joined from Credit Suisse where he was Director and spent seven years focusing on Ultra High Net Worth clients and major shareholders of China listed companies. Prior to that, he worked for UBS.

Alex Xu joined BNP Paribas Wealth Management in May as Managing Director, China Market, based in Hong Kong, reporting to Alfred Tsai. Alex brings with him almost two decades of experience in the financial industry. He was most recently with Guosen Securities as Managing Director, Corporate Finance. Prior to that he worked for Credit Suisse, Merrill Lynch, UBS and DBS Private Bank servicing private clients in China market.

Maggie Zhang joined BNP Paribas Wealth Management in May as Director, China Market, based in Hong Kong. Maggie has 18 years of experience in private banking, finance and control, as well as sales and business development. She was most recently with UBS as Director for Ultra High Net Worth China Market, and prior to that she worked for Credit Suisse. Maggie's wide varieties of experience in these functions amassed herself deep understanding of China market.
Mandy Koo joined BNP Paribas Wealth Management in April as Vice President, China Market, based in Hong Kong, reporting to Ivan Ching. Mandy has 15 years of experience with China clients at leading private banks. She started her career with Citibank, later with Societe Generale, and most recently she was with Credit Suisse servicing China clients.

Ms. Louisa Yau and Ms. Wincy Ching joined the Hong Kong Team to further strengthen BNP Paribas Wealth Management's business in the Hong Kong market.
Louisa Yau joined BNP Paribas Wealth Management in May as Managing Director, Hong Kong Market, based in Hong Kong, reporting to Andy Chai, Head of Hong Kong Market, BNP Paribas Wealth Management. Louisa brings with her 25 years of experience servicing private clients. She joined from HSBC Private Bank. Before that she worked for UBS and Chase Manhattan Private Bank.

Wincy Ching joined BNP Paribas Wealth Management in May as Senior Vice President, Hong Kong Market, based in Hong Kong, reporting to Louisa Yau. She was most recently with Morgan Stanley as Vice President, covering Ultra High Net Worth clients in Hong Kong market. Prior to that she worked for UBS and Credit Suisse.

On the products and services front, BNP Paribas Wealth Management has appointed Mr. Garth Bregman to solidify its Discretionary Portfolio Management offering.

Garth Bregman will join in July as Regional Head of Discretionary Portfolio Management for Asia, based in Singapore. Garth joins with a proven track record of developing, launching and managing new products and services. Garth is currently Head of Discretionary Portfolio Management and Head of Investment Advisory for Wealth Management in the U.K., based in London. Prior to that he was Head of Discretionary Portfolio Management for Wealth Management in The Netherlands, based in Amsterdam.
