OREANDA-NEWS. June 22, 2012. Pskovenergo spent 5.4 mln RUR out of the enterprise investment program funds on purchase of the GAZ-3308 based movable diagnostic complex.

Specialists of the insulation service of Pskovenergo branch of IDGC of the North-West, JSC have begun comprehensive testing of 110/35/10 kV substations equipment with the help of a new electrotechnical laboratory. Pskovenergo spent 5.4 mln RUR out of the enterprise investment program funds on purchase of the GAZ-3308 based movable diagnostic complex.

This week testing is performed within the Eastern Electric Power Grids responsibility zone at 110/10 kV substations No 284 “Novorzhev” and No. 254 “Ashevo”.

On a whole, the planned HV tests commenced in April of the current year have already been completed at 25 feeding centres.

Within the framework of such tests each facility undergoes every 4 years one measures the substation equipment core performance indicators, such as: dielectric characteristics control, insulation electric strength etc.

Information on all defects as there may be is communicated to Pskovenergo Operations administration and is taken into account during the repair works plan drawing. All emergency defects requiring prompt interference are eliminated immediately.
Additionally, specialists of Pskovenergo insulation service chemical laboratory undertake chemical and chromatographic analysis of condenser oil which enables early detection of developing defects.

Arrangement of tests and diagnostics of substations HV equipment is part of the array of measure being implemented by Pskovenergo during preparation for the autumn/winter season. Timely detection of emergency defects enables prevention of cases of technological disturbances in equipment operation.
