OREANDA-NEWS.  Starting from July, 1 subscribers to fixed telephony will be able to dial 9-digit fixed phone numbers only, ANRCETI reminds. A 9-dicgit number include the 0 prefix, a code of a geographic area and a number of a subscriber.

Within July1 -31, subscribers using old phone numbers will be reminded to use a correct, 9-digit, number. The telephone answering machine will work within 1 month till August, 1. As it was said earlier, transition to 9-digit phone numbers is stipulated by new repudiations of the National Numbering Plan.

The documents provide transiting to the closed format of dialling phone numbers from the number row 2 and allotting resources from the number row 3 to provide services and fixed telephony networks of a general purpose.
