OREANDA-NEWS. September 05, 2012. Specialists of KAMAZ and its distributor OOO RariTEK participated in meetings of NGV manufacturers, government officials and businessmen of Volgograd Oblast.

The main meeting was held under the chairmanship of Konstantin Khramov, Vice-Governor of Volgograd Oblast. The meeting discussed a comprehensive program promoting the use of compressed natural gas (CNG) as a motor fuel in the city of Volgograd and Volgograd Oblast.

Ruslan Ziatdinov, Director of Sales of CNG vehicles of KAMAZ FINANCE AND TRADING COMPANY, and Rafael Batyrshin, General Director of OOO RariTEK, presented solutions to energy efficiency and environmental problems in the region based on the use of vehicles running on natural gas.

The meeting assigned Andrey Putin, Minister of Transport of Volgograd Oblast, a task to organize a working group to work on OJSC KAMAZ’s project for the development and production of gas-engine vehicles in Russia.

Within the limits of the state program to finance purchases of buses running on methane, KAMAZ, RariTEK and Volzhanin agreed on the development of gas-powered large-class buses on KAMAZ chassis. To date, such kind of transport means is in high demand in Volgograd Oblast. The main advantages of these buses are environmental friendliness and high consumer characteristics complying with the world quality standards.

At the end of the meeting, Sergey Bazhenov, Governor of Volgograd Oblast, said that he would actively support the introduction and use of alternative fuels in the region.
