OREANDA-NEWS.  Petkim Petrochemical Holding announced financial results of the Company for 2012. 

 Followed by increase in products’ price and sales volume, the income reached TL 4bln 349mln with 12% rise and sale amount - 1mln 808 thousand tons with 3,6% rise compared to 2011. Realizing USD834mln export in 2011, Petkim increased the mentioned indicator by 25% and reached USD1bln 41mln in 2012, which resulted in significant achievement in 48-year history of the company. To scale up the production capacity in 2012, Holding invested USD48mln and completed the year with 90% of capacity usage ratio. The Director General of the Company Sadeddin Korkut stated that despite the troubles in export followed by the current problems and decreased demand in the European markets, access to the new markets allowed increase in the mentioned results.

At the same time, domestic demand in thermoplastic material increased in 7-8%.
