OREANDA-NEWS. Belarus’ OJSC Slodych confectionary factory (based in Minsk) plans to start implementing a cracker project with an estimated value of 5 million euro, a company representative told reporters.

Slodych will soon announce a tender to procure equipment for producing crackers with different fillings. The aforementioned price tag included both production and packing equipment, installation and personnel training.

Slodych plans to launch the new facility in late 2014.

Slodych confectionery was founded in 1993 as a result of reorganising Kommunarka association. In 2000 the company was incorporated. With an installed capacity of 10,300 tonnes of confectionery goods, Slodych currently controls 35% of Belarus’ market of mass-produced biscuits, waffles and crackers.
